Four countries namely the United States, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore will be involved in the operation of free health services in the Moluccas, to coincide with the implementation of international shipping Sail Banda in 2010.
“The information I received, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore also will each send a hospital ship for free health services, in addition to the U.S. that will bring USNS Mercy T-AH19,” said Chief Medical Officer of Maluku, Fat Basalamah, in Ambon.
Free medical services include primary care to surgery. Even the USNS Mercy T-AH19, which is the largest U.S. hospital ship, to serve 10 major operations.
In addition, the largest hospital ship in the republic, KRI dr. Soeharso, will also navigate the Moluccas for the same activity.
This activity is organized health bhakti Sail Banda committee, other than bhakti Surya Bhaskara Jaya and Sail Voyage Healthcare or Medical Service (SMS).
“The ships will dock in Port Yos Sodarso. So people who want to get health care, treatment and surgery welcome, come, because the team doctors and complete equipment,” said Fat Basalamah.
He said residents can register at all health centers and the nearest hospital or come directly to the places that the floating dock hospital.
Banda Sail activities will be concentrated in three areas in Maluku, the Ambon, Banda, Central Maluku district (Malteng) and Tiakur, Southwest Maluku District (MBD), and bhakti Surya Bhaskara will Jara-wilatah diselenggrakan in these areas.
While SMS will be sailing areas in addition to the three districts that include Regency of Buru, Seram Barat (SBB), Eastern Seram (SBT), Southeast Maluku (Malra), Aru, Kota Tual, and is currently located at South Buru (Bursel) in order to free health services equally to all people of Maluku.
